Cafe Latte

I love working with felt so was delighted when I received a commission to make a felt hat for the Cheltenham Racing Festival. The clients winter coat was an alabaster colour with lots of buttons. A quirky shaped crown was blocked with a sweeping upturned brim. "V" shaped pieces were then cut from the the hat and turned back on themselves and fastened with a matching button. In the crown the holes were filled with chocolate brown velvet to match the edging and the band. The hat was finished by creating a loopy flower from brown and alabaster felt. I hope it proved to be a winner!
