Petallica

I am always delighted when a client comes to me and says they want something really wild and eye- catching so Sue’s visit to the studio did not disappoint! Sue had chosen a gorgeous Spanish suit to her daughters wedding which had a background colour of Ivory, dotted with flowers and leaves in golds and silver. Petallica was created to compliment her outfit by taking lots of silk poppy flowers which were sprayed with metallic paints, ivory quills were curled and manipulated and then wrapped in gold and silver wire and finally dotted with Swarovski crystals to match the theme of the wedding. The materials were arranged on a fascinator base and finally curled duck feathers in ivory were placed among the quills and feathers. Truly stunning!
